This is one of the most exciting and important steps in the checkout process. You will be selecting the style and type of cabinet doors, which ultimately means what they look like! Casual Classic Modern Arch Cathedral Shaker Square

Miter

The miter door is a less popular option than the tenon but has surely a richer and more sophisticated look. The drawer will match the door style, but in many cases, especially if you opt for the raised panel the frame of the drawer must be the narrower version of the frame of the door to allow the panel to fit in. Please keep in mind that if you want to order a few doors to accommodate glass [Open or Mullion] you need to place a separate order keeping style, wood specie and stain consistent with the main order.

Casual

This design is a modern looking door that doesn’t look inexpensive because of the small detail on the inside edge. The raised panel will create a classic look while the flat panel adds a modern touch.

The smooth lines of this design work to make your kitchen look bigger and are very easy to clean. This design is a good alternative to the shaker door if you want a modern look without getting something that you will see everywhere. The frame of the doors is 3” wide.

Top

Tenon

It is the most popular option, the horizontal and vertical pieces meet with a vertical straight cut. The drawer will match the door type and design. The top and bottom pieces of the drawer’s frame are always narrower than the side pieces to allow more space for the panel. If your drawer is shorter than 6-3/8” you will automatically get the flat panel even if your door is a raised panel. Click on the thumbnails below to enlarge the images.

Arch

It has the same edges like the square door but has a soft arch on the upper piece, an excellent choice if you want to make the kitchen look taller but not too classic. We recommend using them only for upper cabinets and use the square for the base cabinets, don’t forget we need to know if the hinges are on the left or right side facing the door.

Cathedral

It has the same edges as the square but the upper piece of the door has a classic arch. This is the right door if you want to give a retro look to your kitchen. We recommend using the Cathedral design for the upper cabinets only and the square design for the base cabinets.

Shaker

This door is very popular and has been in fashion for a long time. Some designers consider it a classic look but it is more of a modern minimalistic design. It is very easy to keep clean and is the safest style choice if you are planning to sell your home and are looking to impress a potential buyer. This design looks good with a flat panel, it is not the best choice with a raised panel.

Top

Square

It is a simple door, very popular, has a nice profile on the exterior and interior edge of the frame that distinguishes it from the shaker door. It looks slightly richer but more formal than the shaker. Both the raised and the flat panel look good with this design.
