Step 5 - Cabinet Door Dimensions & Quantity
Now that you have selected the style, type, wood specie and finish of your cabinet doors, you are ready to fill in the dimensions and quantity of them. Filling in the dimensions and quantity is easy but does require attention. You will need four different types of information for each door’s size:
- 1) Drill location (left, right or none)
- 2) Door width
- 3) Door height
- 4) Quantity
Drill Location:
First indicate which side of the door needs to be drilled to accommodate the hinges. *Please note that the drill location is determined by facing the door and is important only if you are ordering Tenon Cathedral doors or Tenon Arch doors. If your door doesn’t have any kind of arch left or right doesn’t really matter. The no drill option is required If you want drill the doors yourself or if you are using exposed traditional hinges.
Door Width, Height & Quantity:
The next step is to indicate the width and the height in inches and fraction followed by the quantity. Cabinet doors that have the same size should use the same line that is why at the end of the line you can fill in the quantity of that particular size.
How to measure the doors is explained in our step-by-step video and it changes depending if the cabinetry is “Frameless” (European) or “Framed” (Traditional). If the cabinetry is Framed you might even decide to go with exposed hinges and so indicate the option “None” on the drill location box.
